How the Lease-to-Own Program Works

1) Trucks & Term

Our lease-to-own program offers used sleeper trucks at around 400-500,000 miles for a lease term of about 150-135 weeks. The exact length can be a little more or less based on the actual mileage of the truck being leased.

2) 50/50 Weekly Split

Instead of a fixed monthly payment, the truck is paid for through a 50/50 revenue split of the net driver settlement each week. Each week the driver works, the total settlement is direct deposited with TMS, and TMS transfers the remaining balance to the driver.

3) Minimum Revenue Rule

A minimum of $2,000 net must be made for the week to count toward the lease countdown. Weeks under $2,000 are still split, but do not reduce the lease term. On weeks with zero revenue (e.g., shop time or personal time), no payment is required and that week does not count toward the countdown. If the minimum is not met for 6 weeks in a row you would be asked to return the truck

4) Maintenance Covered by TMS

TMS uses collected revenue to pay 100% of maintenance costs, from PMs to major repairs. Drivers must notify TMS of problems and track due dates for inspections and PMs, while TMS handles quality solutions.

5) Contractor & Tax Info

Drivers are W9 contractors receiving 1099s for 100% of annual receivables. TMS provides annual statements of all payments made to be treated as operational expenses for your business taxes.
